brief
The East of England Co-op is a regional multiple retailer and one of the largest co-operative societies in the UK – boasting more than 100 locations across East Anglia.
We partnered with the East of England Co-op from 2012 to 2020, before their advertising was taken in-house.
During this eight-year collaboration, our team worked to secure targeted advertising across East Anglia. We used consumer-focused offline and online media to promote the brand, raise awareness of offers and highlight service availability based on the specific needs of different business areas.
our strategy
Prominent Media managed the entire media planning, buying and scheduling process for the East of England Co-op, collaborating closely with their other retained agencies.
We carefully selected appropriate media channels for each campaign, including radio, TV, outdoor, newspapers, glossy magazines and parish publications. By negotiating competitive rates, we optimised the Co-op’s budget effectively.
Our comprehensive media management service covered all aspects of the process, from handling advertising enquiries and providing artwork to campaign scheduling and invoicing. We maintained daily communication with the marketing teams across various divisions to ensure seamless execution.
With our in-built reminder system, we stayed on top of all deadlines, ensuring that no opportunity was missed and that every campaign was executed efficiently.
our outcome
The East of England Co-op benefited significantly from outsourcing their media planning, buying and scheduling to Prominent Media. By entrusting us with these tasks, they saved valuable management time and were able to focus on their core business activities.
From 2012 to 2020, every advertisement – whether seen on a bus, in the press, or heard on the radio – was meticulously managed by our team.
“Efficient, reliable, friendly – working with the team is an absolute pleasure. They understand the importance of our advertising campaigns and care as much we do that things are right.”
Nikki Insley | Former Head of Brand & Membership Services at East of England Co-op
